PORT CREDIT VILLAGE

PORT CREDIT, ONTARIO

The redevelopment of the former 1889 St. Lawrence Starch plant into an award-winning urban development started in 1999 and was completed in 2011. The 26-acre project based on new urbanism concepts has raised Port Credit living to new heights. The development features luxury townhomes with underground parking and rear-lane access, and mid-rise condos fronting an awe-inspiring public waterfront park. Commercial buildings with retail and office space add flair to this mixed-use community, an Urban Land Institute finalist and multiple urban design winner. The development’s north parcel complements the main site with Northshore Condo, a 22-storey and LEED-Silver building, plus a 6-storey senior living building. The project has been featured as best-in-class for brownfield redevelopment as well as urban and traffic-oriented design.
